FORE Bio:
2006
In
the beginning of the year the new material were made in the form that we could
perform a couple of new songs in Teatria,
2005
We
continued working on the new material for the first months of the year. Sessions
consisted mostly of recording the vocals and putting the lyrics together. In the
end of the winter, the songs were ready for mastering, but the final publication
went on to spring because of the making of the extra material on the cd. The
first official Fore EP was named Pro
Rudis and it contained five songs and bonuses like a slideshow, lyrics and
“Crippled Paradise” –video. in the summer we invaded Kajaani and played in
local bar called Ball´s. In the end of the autumn we had to rerun this gig. In
July the QStock- festival was held in
2004
In
the dark days of the winter the recordings continued. In the middle of January
Tero Laine shows up and wanted to try out singing in Fore. This dudes vocal
skills and attitude were put to a test and the results were really impressive.
So, Fore had a new singer. During the spring demo sessions continued but while
recording the vocals a disaster strikes. The hard disk recorder fell down from
the table and decided to put it´s lights out. Everything that was already done
got destroyed and the recording session ceased. During the summer, we decided to
start everything all over again with new equipment. In the autumn we had a
couple of gigs in Vaala and one in Jalometalli festival in
2003
In the begining of the year we were advertising the Godsize Machine demo. A gig played with Poisonblack in our home village Vaala and with Maple Cross and Monster Spank in Raahe. In the summer Mikko Kaltiainen decided to quit singing in Fore. So we had to cancel all our gigs at once and start to look at the new situation from another point of view. After a couple of tryout singers we focused on making new songs and decided not to pay that much attention to the search for the new singer. New songs were made during the autumn and we started recording new demo in beginning of December in our Midfi studio in Vaala.
2002
The Winter and the Spring was spent gathering ideas. The continuing traditional recording-sessions were held in summer, and the new ideas were once again summed. At the end of the summer a gig at Vaala market place and later in autumn a gig at Urheilutalo, Vaala. A new demo 'Godsize Machine' is coming up around at the end of the year.
2001
Enough material to put up a show, anticipating the first gig which was held in
Kauhajoki, at the beginning of the year. Once again the band gathers in summer
for studiosessions and sums up the ideas that had come up during the spring. At
the end of the summer a gig at the Unto-Rock in Utajärvi and at the end of the
year a gig at Urheilutalo, Vaala. A new demo 'Grip' sees the daylight.
2000
The band opens up web-sites and improving new songs continues, until the
beginning of the recording of a new demo. The result was a four-song-demo called
'Recoil K. O.'. The demo was released in autumn. The new demo continued the
course set by the former one.
1999
At the dawn of the year the demo 'Hospital' containig five songs was
released. The material was more homogenous than the first one; vocals had more melody, the
play was more united and sounded better. Developing fresh ideas and
practising.
1998
The band took the name Fore and the first EP with nine songs was finished a
little over a year since Mikko had joined the band. The crew continued composing
new material, making clear and shaping up the style of play. The band took a
more strict stand towards their own composings and the forthcomig material. The
attention was also paid to performing.
1997
In summer Mikko Kaltiainen joined as a singer a band formed by Jarkko Karppinen
(Guitar), Jani Karppinen (Guitar), Markus Sarala (Bass) and Sami Mustonen (Drums). Practising and creating/composing new
songs. The new sound gradually became
aggressive and heavy.
